Hi, we are Mark and Amy McGraw. We started our pottery journey back in 2014 and fell in love with the process. Mark had previous experience in high school, but work and family came first, so his dream of becoming a potter was put on hold. Ten years ago, as empty nesters, I thought a session at Muddy Hands Art Studio would be a great Birthday gift. Needless to say, that 6 week course turned into more than one year of classes, a Brent pottery wheel, a Vulcan kiln, a remodeled basement to include a home studio and finally, the purchase of Muddy Hands. Yes, this is now our passion.
Over the past 9 years, we have grown our tiny studio, moving from Canal St. to Lincoln Ave., doubling our space. But circumstances have caused us to eliminate teaching from our business objectives. We are now focusing on our creativity in the making of our own product. Our pottery can currently be found on Etsy and at Art Shows listed on the Show Schedule page. Thank you!
Hi, I wanted to buy my husband a class as a Christmas present. I do not see a way to do that on your website. Do I have to come to your shop and purchase? Can he take them whenever, like maybe in February when things are a little slower? Thank you.
Sandra, you can either stop in for your gift certificate or place the request through our email, artisticearthpottery@gmail.com. we will be happy to send one that you can print out. We prefer that it gets used within one year, but the start time is up to the student. Thanks, Amy
