Hi, we are Mark and Amy McGraw. We started our pottery journey only a short time ago, but we are in love with the process. Mark had previous experience in high school, but work and family came first, so his dream of becoming a potter was put on hold. Less than 7 years ago, as empty nesters, I thought a session at Muddy Hands Art Studio would be a great Birthday gift. Needless to say, that 6 week course turned into more than one year of classes, a Brent pottery wheel, a Vulcan kiln, a remodeled basement to include a home studio and finally, the purchase of Muddy Hands. Yes, this is now our passion. We would love to share this passion with anyone who has a creative mind, has a few hours to spare each week and loves to get muddy!
Over the past 6 years, we have grown our tiny studio, moving from Canal St. to Lincoln Ave., doubling our space. We currently hold 5 different weekly classes for those really wanting to learn the clay processes, both wheel and hand building.
